This record is allegedly the reason why Sunny Day Real Estate left Sub Pop for another label. The core of …

Check out The Gloria Record’s “Start Here.” I loved the album when it came out and I certainly have grown out of it, but I honestly believe that it tries to be this album (and Radiohead’s OK Computer) just as TGR’s previous band (Mineral) tried to emulate DIary. That said, it’s not as good as HIFTBSO.

Easily. I can’t believe some say otherwise. Diary shows its age and The Rising Tide has two good songs, if that. This album is nearly flawless, front to back. I could live without the chanting, but even then, still great.

This band is too fantastic to explain in simple words I type. This band when I first heard them was a total re-awakening of what music could and should be,
