This Is A Song Of Beauty And Power, and Is One Of The Greatest SDRE Songs Ever(Ok, in their top 20). This Song Is Just Perfect, And I Love The Hi Hat Lead Into the 2nd Verse(not on the album), Nice Touch, Great Song, Awesome Show(Anybody Else Convert The VHS onto DVD?)
Anybody else think that Jeremy Enigk looks a little like Jaoquin Pheonix here?
I don’t see the evil comment on here. Perhaps its way back, but Jeremy Enigk is a Christain. This is part of what brought tension to the band, which of coure eventually broke up, but evil this is not!
You just have to give it a chance. A chance without delusions that come from seeing music seperated into somewhat clearly defined categories, when most good music isn’t clearly defined at all.

Emocore stands for emotional hardcore, not “emotive-core”. Back in the day, emocore was the lable applied to ******** punk bands that had emotional lyrics.
Also, old Jimmy Eat World (Static Prevails, Clarity) is amazing.
Sunny Day Real Estate is one of the BEST bands.
This is coming from someone who listens to Gabriel-era Genesis, Pink Floyd, Radiohead (post Pablo Honey), Porcupine Tree, David Bowie, Brian Eno, Tool, Beck… You know all the intelligent artists out there, that whether you can see it or not, share the same type of intelligent songwriting as Sunny Day Real Estate.
BTW, how is this about the ’stage’ and ‘make up.’ Did you watch the performance? It’s as humble as it gets. And it’s not evil in any way, it’s just raw emotion. You have no idea what you’re talking about dude.
Well the problem is putting so much damn importance in the label (i.e. emo, grunge) in the first place.
I personally would just rather you didn’t compare them to The Food Fighters. The amazing Goldsmith and Mendel being in it didn’t change the fact that they sucked, and Sunny Day didn’t

dude i hear the music i listen to alot of the new bands because ym friend like them so i have and its the same and yes every genre does have the thier bad and good but this one doesnt.
Dude… there’s good and bad in every genre… You’re the one who’s not actually hearing the music, you’ve got preconceived notions and you go by them.
Sunny Day Real Estate is one of the best bands.
